I am committed to creating UX design solutions for both web and mobile experiences in the B2C and B2B spaces. That is why I launched App Appeal Creative, a digital marketing and UX design agency servicing business owners, service providers, and online educators.
I recently left my 3-year post as the Experience Design Manager for a telecommunications company in February 2021. I have worked on projects that allowed me to use design thinking on digital platforms and consumer-facing products.
Before stepping into the manager's role, I had a contract position with Verizon Wireless, working with the Digital Brand Creative In-house Studio Team, creating engaging design experiences on their e-Commerce website and apps.
My passion for UXD has lent me to teach an 8-week beginners’ course to entrepreneurs. Introducing UXD concepts to students have been fulfilling as they applied UX design thinking in their digital products. I also was employed at Brightline TV, a digital interactive advertising agency, as an Interactive Designer working on various business development mocks for sales as well as creating advertising experiences on OTT platforms (Roku, Apple TV, and Samsung).
While taking on various roles as a freelance consultant, I collaborated on various design projects. My UX strategy involves balancing the requirements of the stakeholders while discovering the needs of the user on multi-digital platforms. During the research stage, I explore opportunities on how to improve performance between digital products/services from user behavior. This involves research, interviews, and conducting competitive/comparative analysis. The findings allow for better collaboration cross-functionally and designing engaging prototypes before passing off the workflow to developers.
Entering the world of UX design in 2013 was one of the best decisions I made to date. I designed the UI elements for an app I created called "Ebonji" that was available on iTunes from April 2014 until January 2016. My drive to learn more about user behavior led to taking an extensive UX Design program at General Assembly. The curriculum allowed me to use my brand development, marketing, and design capabilities with UX Design.
I also spent six years working in brand marketing for a media company, where I've honed my skills in digital advertising and marketing by targeting key demographics for a national cable network.
When I am not designing, I spend much needed time with my rescue dogs, watching YouTube make-up tutorials, and learning cooking recipes from Tasty videos.
